About Our Farm

Lafayette County Day at the Dairy

The  4th Annual Lafayette County 'Day at the Dairy' will be held on May 12,  2016 at Redrock View Farms! In a collaborative rotation with Cottonwood  Dairy, Highway Dairy Farms, and Darlington Ridge Dairy, we host all of  the Lafayette County 4th graders to one of our farms for the day to  learn about both agriculture and the dairy industry.

Kids  learn about nutrition, milking, cows and calves of all ages, manure  management, and how the agricultural industries benefit our economy and  our food supply.

Many kids don't have the opportunity  to visit farms or see a dairy up close. Our farms are honored to give  this opportunity to the kids from Lafayette County, WI.

The Redrock View prefix was established in 1980 when Steve Carpenter  bought his first registered Holstein cow. Redrock View Farms was  established in 1985 when Steve and Lisa Carpenter, along with Steve's  parents, Jerry and Marilyn Carpenter, began farming together. Jerry and  Marilyn purchased the farm in 1978 and moved it to its current location  just south of Darlington, Wisconsin. Steve and Lisa purchased the farm  from Steve's parents in 1995. From its humble beginnings in a small  tie-stall barn, the farm has seen much expansion over the years to get  to it's present size of 600 milking cows. Along with a small custom  cropping business, Redrock View Farms currently operates around 1,300  acres in crop land in Lafayette County.
